Trust and safety
Trust is designed into the workflow.
Mikvah Finder does not treat sensitive listing information like a comment thread. Updates, reports, and verification signals move through structured review.
Report an issueVerified listings
Listings can move through Bronze, Silver, and Gold verification instead of relying on unreviewed public edits.
Privacy-first location
Location is used for search and routing, with user controls for precision, diagnostics, and retention.
No public reviews
Condition reports are structured and reviewed. They are not displayed as personal public reviews.
Rabbinic path
Sensitive listing questions can be escalated for rabbinic review, consensus, and field locks.
How we verify
A review path, not a comment feed.
Every public fact should have a clear path from source to review to publication. Sensitive information gets more review, not more exposure.
1
A change is submitted
Users, operators, staff, or import tools can submit listing updates, photos, reports, and claims.
2
Curators check facts
Curators review source quality, duplicates, addresses, contact details, photos, and operational reports.
3
Sensitive fields escalate
Religious, legitimacy, field-lock, and disputed trust questions move to rabbinic review when required.
4
The public listing updates
Only approved, privacy-safe facts become public. The internal evidence trail remains auditable.
Verification tiers
A plain-language badge system.
The badge is not decoration. It tells users how strongly a listing has been checked.
Bronze
Basic contact or phone verification with a path toward stronger review.
Silver
Independent human verification through an approved source or review path.
Gold
Silver plus an in-person visit by the team or a designated verifier.
Privacy wall
Some data should never become public.
The trust model is built to help people find reliable information without turning private community signals into public pressure.
- Reporter identity unless the reporter explicitly chose to share it with an operator.
- Private family activity, saved mikvaot, trips, searches, or personal location history.
- Raw condition complaints, star ratings, public gossip, or reviewer names.
- Exact trust-badge thresholds that would let a listing game the system.
